About us

Region Sörmland is one of Sörmland's largest employers with jobs in healthcare, culture, IT, education, public transport, and regional development.

The Economics Department is responsible for managing and developing the region's financial processes such as planning and budgeting, accounting and follow-up, financial management, as well as tools and systems to ensure financial efficiency. The position of investment controller is located within the decision support unit that belongs to the Economics Department. The position can be based in Nyköping, Katrineholm, or Eskilstuna.

Your tasks

As an investment controller, you have a central role in the management of the region's investments. You work closely with operations and management and are responsible for producing decision-making materials and following up on investment projects from a financial perspective. The role involves both strategic and operational work.

Your main tasks will include:

• Responsible for the region's investment process.
• Preparation and follow-up of budget, forecasts, and outcomes for investments.
• Lead investment groups at the management level within Region Sörmland.
• Have an overall view of the investment situation and conduct presentations for both political and administrative management.
• Financial analysis, follow-up, and reporting of investment projects.
• Preparation and quality assurance of investment calculations and decision-making materials.
• Support to managers in financial matters related to investments.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in economics. You have experience in controlling or financial management and possess a good ability to analyze and present financial information in an educational manner. The position requires very good knowledge of Excel.
